This will be short and sweet! Ankaragucu were thrashed 5-2 at lowly Duzyurtspor in what can only be described as the most embarrassing result in the clubs 105 year history. The result now drags Ankaragucu back into a relegation battle and they will need to bounce back on Wednesday against relegation rivals Tepecikspor.

It all started so well as Ankaragucu took the lead through Hasan Ayaroglu after only 5 minutes. However goals from Suat Mutlu (2) and Gokhan Erdol (3) put Duzyurt 5-1 up before Hasan Kaya scored in injury time to make it 5-2.
There was more bad news for Ankaragucu as Gokhan Akkan went off injured when the game was tied at 1-1.
Another game has past by where Levent Kale and Yeoman Erkan have failed to hit the back of the net. Its time to dump the two of them onto the bench and bring in Emir Ozbey and Ramadan Adiuguzel.
The coach will be hoping his Ankaragucu players can bounce back with a win at Tepecik on Wednesday, failure to do so will see Ankaragucu have a fight for survival on their hands.
To lose 1-0 or 2-1 is bad enough, but to get thrashed at this stage of the season doesn't auger well for the run-in.
ReplyDeleteHow many times have I said on this Blog that it's a 'MUST WIN' match ? Too many times to count, but that is exactly what Wednesday's match is !!! Nothing less than 3 points will suffice. Ankaragucu must not get dragged into the relegation dog-fight at the end of the season.
As for Levent, I don't think the Coach has the courage to put him on the bench, and as for Teoman ............ I'm willing to give him one last chance before I give up on him !
